DMCA and Copyright Policy
Last updated: May 4, 2026
GameVertex respects game developers, publishers, artists, and rights holders. Our site curates browser-playable games and links each game page to source information when it is available. If a game, image, description, or attribution on GameVertex appears to infringe your rights, contact us and we will review it promptly.
Where to Send a Notice
Send copyright notices to [email protected] with the subject line "Copyright Notice". We review copyright messages before ordinary suggestions so urgent ownership issues are not buried in the general inbox.
What to Include
A complete notice should include:
- Your name, organization if applicable, and a working email address.
- The exact GameVertex URL involved, such as a specific game page or image URL.
- A clear description of the copyrighted work you believe is being infringed.
- Proof that you own the work or are authorized to act for the owner.
- The action you are requesting: removal, attribution correction, source correction, or another remedy.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Our Review Process
We check the reported page, source URL, cover asset, and metadata. When a claim appears valid, we may update attribution, replace an image, remove an embed, or disable access to the disputed item while the issue is investigated. We do not require a public dispute for a straightforward ownership fix; if the problem is clear, we correct it.
Counter Notices
If you believe your game or asset was removed by mistake, email us with the affected URL, your ownership or license details, and a concise explanation. We will review the material again and may restore or revise the page if the evidence supports it.
Related Policies
Our Editorial Policy explains how we evaluate and describe games. Developers can also use the game submission page to send official links, preferred descriptions, screenshots, and attribution notes.
